About us

As a parent of an autistic and ADHD child, I understand how challenging life can be for neurodivergent individuals. I am also aware of the stress that other family members can feel from being unable to help or cope with theses challenges. This inspired me to set up Support For Neurodiversity.

My daughter, Lola, used to face intense mood and behavioural challenges that deeply affected her life. It was heartbreaking to watch her struggle, especially when I felt uncertain about how to support her. After thorough research, I was fortunate to connect with therapists who greatly enhanced her wellbeing, including specialists in nutrition, occupational therapy, and behavioural therapy.

Lola still encounters many challenges, however, her life is now much more joyful and fulfilling.

I recognise the difficulty in finding trustworthy advice, effective solutions, and therapists to support mental wellbeing, behaviour and sleep issues. Therefore, my primary goal is to simplify this search process and to provide impactful solutions to those who are seeking help.  This is why I set up Support For Neurodiversity.

I hold a BSc in Biomedical Science and am presently working towards a nutrition diploma. I previously worked for a pharmaceutical company for 13 years, before taking a career break to look after my children.

For the last 5 years I have worked for a charity called Food and Behaviour Research. This experience has given me a real passion for learning more about how food affects mood and behaviour, and how what you eat can have a significant impact on your mood, behaviour, and sleep.

My youngest child, Lola, was diagnosed with autism when she was three, and my journey searching for ways to help her started soon after. She has also recently been diagnosed with ADHD. Discovering effective strategies to support Lola not only significantly improved her wellbeing but also positively affected the entire family.

I hope that this website provides you with ways to help improve your child’s, and your own, quality of life.
